I did my shopping at my local farmers market which is where local farmers sell directly to consumers. Buying organically grown food, from local farmers means I am supporting smaller businesses that travel less saving our air, and energy resources and supporting a healthier local economy. And the food is fresher and more delicious, too!

Today like most winter days, I bundle up with layers of clothing rather than turn on the heat. The thermostat reads between 58 and 61 degrees Fahrenheit but with a hat, slippers, and a heated blanket I stay warm without using too much energy.

The hip part of the pants is torn, so I sewed it with a black cloth and I am proud to wear it.

Since tap doesn\'t close properly, I started to collect drops of water in a bucket. Once the bucket is full, I use it to wash the dishes 🙂

I save my rinse water for rice and dishes and water my bushes that are particularly dry.

I saw a video of garbage being piled up with clothes thrown away every year. Although it is best to reduce consumption, I try to reduce the amount of waste by sharing the clothes that I bought.
